Why Redeeming Chanan? Chanan is the Hebrew root word for grace/favor. It is through YAH's chen that we have not perished. No words, no amount of time, no monument, no books, no songs, no poems, not even the most worthy tribute could ever succinctly convey gratitude enough for our Savior Yeshua Ha'Meshiach. We are redeemed from our sins daily. Redemption did not culminate at the cross, it was just the beginning! We are redeemed through the precious blood of Yeshua ( Ephesians 1:5-7 ). Thus, I could not find a more fitting name for the blog. Why Hebrew terms and names? Must we be Jews in order to call God, YAHWEH? Certainly not. However, God is not YAHWEH's name, that is His title.
