Great & Small Prayers for Babies

"Great & Small Prayers for Babies" by Pamela Kennedy & Anna Abramskaya This is a very cute and well made little book. The pages are thick cardboard, easy on little hands. It is 7 pages long with beautiful illustrations and flaps that open. The rhymes are fun to read and are sure to stick to a child's mind. It brings a very simple message on prayer, easy for small children to grasp and perfect for those learning to read.  It makes for a cute small gift for a new baby in the family and young children. I received this book from B&H in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

Back Roads to Belonging

"Back Roads to Belonging: Unexpected Paths to Finding Your Place and Your People" Kristen Strong wrote this book from personal experience. It is for those who struggle with finding their place. It is for those who feel left out, out of place or feel like they just don't fit in anywhere. If you struggle with any of these, this book is for you. I have personally felt this way many times in my life so I could resonate with a lot Kristen discussed. She breaks down the chapter into 3 sections; wandering, finding, inviting. She uses personal stories and stories of others to draw her point and as a way to provide testimonies. I liked this as it reminds you that you're not alone, many other people share your struggles. This book is Biblically sound and would recommend to anyone who may be going through a lonely period. I received a copy of this book from Revell in exchange for an honest review. The Most Important Stories of the Bible

"The Most Important Stories of the Bible: Understanding God's Word Through  the Stories it Tells" by Christopher D. Hudson & Stan Campbell This is a slim book containing short summaries of the most popular Bible stories. They need to rename this book, I don't consider some stories more important than others, just more popular. The stories are divided into 6 sections: Beginnings, Patriarchs, Israel's Family Becomes a Nation, Kings and prophets, Stories of Jesus, and Stories of the Early Church. Each story gets about 1.5-page treatment. It quickly summaries the story and then a very short paragraph or sometimes 1 sentence at the end explaining the main/essential point. When I requested this book, I was expecting it to be a little more in-depth. On the contrary, each story seems to be hastily summarized and a very short paragraph at the end wrapping it up. This book is more for new believers who have zero to very little Biblical knowledge. Thi...
