"A Rabbi Looks At the Supernatural:
A revealing look at angels, demons, miracles, heaven, and hell"
By Jonathan Bernis
Let me start off by saying that I am a spiritual supporter of Jewish Voice Ministries, I admire the work they do for God's kingdom. When I saw that Rabbi Jonathan Bernis was the author of this book, I was excited to read it. The title, summary, and overall physical presentation grabbed my immediate attention. Some topics mentioned in the book include: angels, demons, science, spirits, and miracles. The purpose of the message is to reveal the unseen world and explain how it plays the major role in the physical world.
The rabbi discusses these topics in light of what the Scriptures say as well as through evidence, stories, and antidotes. The material presented is well expressed with a balanced discussion of Scripture, stories, and scholarship. I enjoyed the entire book , but as a huge fanatic of science, I greatly enjoyed the second chapter which talks about science and debunking the evolutionary theory.
I love how Rabbi Bernis is open-minded to include such topics (science, miracles, etc) as evidence for the moving of the Holy Spirit- topics that are, unfortunately, neglected, controversial or vulnerable to criticism among believers today. This book is a great evangelism tool for non-messianic Jews and non-believing Gentiles alike. It is for those with questions about how Gods works and for skeptics serious about finding answers. I give this book 5 stars out of 5!
I received a copy from Chosen in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
